Peter is a lifelong artist who spent 30+ years as an advertising leader on both the ad agency and client side, but never lost the inherent drive to create art in everything he did and continues to do--whether it was advertising, residential design or fine art. Peter began making art in his teens and was hugely inspired by Louise Nevelson, Robert Motherwell, Morris Louis, Joseph Cornell, David Smith and more. He also started collecting at the age of 13. Over the last few years, Peter has dedicated himself to making welded steel sculpture that explores balance, nature, scale as well as cultural iconography. He currently works in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Working primarily with found, industrial materials such as structural steel, Peter’s work explores the tension and balance between geometric rigidity and organic fluidity, material weight and the impression of weightlessness. His work also deals with the standardization of component parts, countered by the irreproducibility of natural forms, while taking cues from religious, cultural and spiritual symbols, and objects. Peter is represented by Kaller Fine Arts in Washington, DC and shows at the Cambridge Art Association and SOWA in the South End of Boston. He a member of SOWA Artists Guild and South End United Artists in Boston and is a board member of the Cambridge Art Association.
