Le Lamp
This new body of work marks a natural evolution of my practice—an extension of sculptural inquiry into the domain of functional design. Long embedded beneath the surface of my studio research, this series of sculptural furnishings operates at the intersection of fine art, material investigation, and applied object-making. Each piece draws upon the formal vocabulary, structural sensibilities, and spatial considerations that define my sculptural work, translating them into objects intended for daily use.
The inaugural piece in this line, Le Lamp, exemplifies this convergence. Fabricated from aluminum, it embodies a refined interplay between industrial materiality and luminous warmth. The lamp features a 2700K LED light source, producing an intimate atmospheric glow, and is paired with a cloth-covered power cord available in a range of vibrant color options—an element that foregrounds the aesthetic potential of functional components often relegated to the periphery.
Additional designs—lighting, seating, desks, and tables—will follow as part of an expanding investigation into how sculptural form can inhabit and reconfigure domestic space. Le Lamp is offered at a retail price of $2,200, with preferred trade pricing available.
